Today, Greggi and I decided that we'd rather work at Katipunan than at EEE to avoid stress and bad vibes. We were originally planning to stay at Greenwich where we usually hang-out for academic purposes but we remembered that we had previous plans of trying Bo's Coffee if we have time. He checked some papers for his Student Assistant duties while I tried my hardest to work on my thesis.
Bo's Coffee at Katipunan was kind of old contrary to what it looks like from the outside. The interior was mostly made of wood. The stairs make these creaky noises like the ones we see at haunted houses on TV. The place was not brightly-lit but it gives a feeling of coziness. Their Blended Coffees were yummy too and their cookies are alright, I guess. I loved the place a lot especially our spot at the corner.
This is my almost four-year-old laptop, an Acer 4715z. Nothing spectacular and just one of the basic laptops available. Unlike most people I know, I haven't named him/her. It's not that I find object naming silly. I just couldn't think of a name that time. It was a present for my 18th birthday. I asked for it since I had programming classes back then ( which lasted for a year and a half. ugh ). Just months ago I stopped using it and opted to use my mom's MSI Notebook because I needed a faster one for another programming class. For months, my old and dusty laptop was untouched at the far corner of my study table but just recently I started using it again. Even if it's kinda slow I still prefer using this. It feels homey typing in these keys and it feels more comfortable tinkering with this despite the small area of dead pixels. And well, most of my private and personal files are here. I might consider buying a netbook in the future but I won't ever get rid of this.
After a while I got tired (and without progress) from working on my thesis and decided to catch up on Gossip Girl. We decided to pack up at 8 pm and decided to have dinner and buy some things at Rustan's before going home. I didn't want to leave yet cause I totally love the place. It was cozy and peaceful because of the small crowd. I made Greggi promised we'd come back every week so that we could still relax even if we're working on anything academic.
We ate dinner at Chix & Treats because we are sooo hungry and we couldn't bear to walk up to Rustan's with empty stomachs. The place was just beside Bo's and besides a place called 'Grilled Tomatos' which we will try next time. I ordered Chicken Inasal and he ordered Pork Sinigang. We were not able to take a picture because we were so excited to fill up our complaining stomachs. We went to Rustan's Supermarket afterwards to buy food (mostly frozen) because we were planning to pack lunch everyday instead to save money. It was really fun because we were pretending to shop for our kids. Hihihi. It just feels natural and I can't wait to go grocery shopping with him regularly in the future.
This was a fun day despite all the things I've been worrying about for the past days. Thesis, graduation, work, life and ungrateful people. I just realized how some people could be so abusive when you try to give them everything. Well it's hard being calm all the time when you know that some things are not okay. Sometimes all you could just do is take time away from everything compose yourself rather than rushing to make things okay again. Good thing I have my man to make me happy any time of the day. ;)
